Paldor Peak Climbing (21 Days)

Paldor Peak lies at the south-east end of the Ganesh Himal northwest of Kathmandu. It marks the junction of the Tiru and Karpu Dandas at the head of the Mailung Khola, a tributary of the Trishuli Gandaki River. Lying in a remote location, it provides an interesting trekking trail for its climbers.

This peak can be climbed from North East, South East, West and South West Ridge. It was first climbed by Bill Tilman, Peter Lloyd, Tenzing Sherpa and Da Namgyal during the monsoon of 1949 by the North-East Ridge. Trekking to Paldor is one of the best and famous trekking routes in Ganesh Himal region. In this region you get to view stunning tranquil lakes, beautiful waterfalls, great Himalayan landscapes and lush green farming terraces. You also get an insight into the lifestyle and culture of the local Tamang and Gurung majorities. The trek begins from Syabru Besi which takes about nine hours drive from Kathmandu. You end your trekking in Khahare Bazaar and again drive back to Kathmandu.
